A multi day trek along the worlds highest tides!
Cape Chignecto Trail is a 51 km (32 mile) trek in Eastern Canada. Hike to the top of dramatic rock formations and towering cliffs overlooking sandy beaches tinged with red. As is a necessity with most coastal hiking, you have to sometimes to leave the coast. Find your way through the lush boreal forest where rushing streams intersect the trail and continue cascading down the cliffs towards the ocean. It’s a wonderful sight, wherever you look.
This hike is a truly remarkable experience!
Show up with only your personal gear and let us take care of the rest! Enjoy coffee served to your tent in the morning, delicious home made meals at night, and watch the sun set as you kick back and reconnect with nature.

Planned Itinerary:
Day 0 – Arrive in Halifax, breathe in the ocean air and check out some sights before meeting up with the group. That evening we will go through our gear, group gear will be distributed, and we'll chat about our amazing adventure. Meeting location is yet to be determined.
Day 1 – We will wake up full of excitement and anticipation. We will shuttle from Halifax, Nova Scotia to the Cape Chignecto Provincial Park. Today will start our hike along the beach before turning inland and exploring the amazing boreal forest! Popping back to the shoreline we will take in the amazing Three Sisters rock formation. We will rest our heads at the Seal Cove where a lookout close to the trail offers the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean – 17.6km, 275m of elevation gain, 275m of elevation loss
Day 2 – Enjoy your morning coffee, pack your bag, and lace up your boots. Today we are in for a treat and most of the day we stay by the ocean's side. It will be our most challenging day but the panoramic ocean views are worth it! We will spend the night at Big Bald Rock - 9.1 km
Day 3 – Sleep in and let your body rest. Today is a shorter day, although what it lacks in distance it makes up for in magnificence! Our route will take us past the infamous Cape Chignecto. Here we can watch the waves collide and sea birds ride the air currents. Once at camp we can explore the beach looking for various treasures! Arrr, Matey!!! We will spend the night at Refugee Cove - 9 km
Day 4 - Today we get to sit back and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Fuelled by dreams of hot showers, a short jaunt takes us back to civilization. If the tides allow we will enjoy the last km walking along the beach back to our shuttle. We will then sit back and relax as we are transported back to Halifax - 11.5km
