BRIAN POSEHN
Brian Posehn has been busy for a while. As a writer/actor/stand-up comic, he doesn’t have a ton of down time. Brian was an NSA intern on TruTV’s Top Secret Videos and was also on the popular Disney Plus show The Mandalorian, the acclaimed Netflix show Lady Dynamite, FX’s You’re The Worst and in his recurring roles on The Big Bang Theory as geologist Bert Kibbler and New Girl.
He was one of the stars of Comedy Central’s popular show, The Sarah Silverman Program. He has also appeared on such seminal sitcoms as Seinfeld, NewsRadio, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, The Neighborhood and a recurring role on Just Shoot Me.
In the sketch comedy world he’s known as one of the writers and performers on HBO’s acclaimed Mr. Show, in 2015 he co-produced Odenkirk and Cross’s return to sketch with the Netflix hit, With Bob and David.
He was featured in the films, Devil’s Rejects and The Five Year Engagement. In 2015 he had his first starring role in the dark, indie comedy, Uncle Nick.
In stand-up comedy he’s known as one of the original members of the Comedians of Comedy. He’s recorded two half hour specials for Comedy Central, four comedy albums and three hour long specials, The Fartist, Criminally Posehn and 25 X 2.
In voice-acting he’s done everything from Scooby Doo to a role on The Simpsons. He starred on the animated shows, Mission Hill and 3 South and has turned up in Adventure Time, American Dad, Bob’s Burgers and Steven Universe, to name a few. His voice was featured in the 2017 Dreamworks Animated comedy, Captain Underpants.
In the last several years he’s also been able to produce and host a popular D&D comedy podcast, Nerd Poker and co-write 45 issues of the best-selling Marvel comic book series Deadpool. In 2018 he released his first book, Forever Nerdy. In 2019, he completed a comedy metal album Grandpa Metal, featuring metal legends from Anthrax, Dethklok, Slayer and Soundgarden.
MICHELLE MYLETT
Michelle Mylett is a Canadian actress known for a variety of roles across film and television, best recognised for the portrayal of Katy in Letterkenny.
With her first role dating back to 2013 in Antisocial, Mylett has since racked up an impressive portfolio with credits including El Camino Christmas, Bad Blood and Ascension. Mylett has also appeared in several shows with popular fandoms, including roles in The Strain and Lost Girl.
Mylett found her first main cast comedy role as Jamie in Four in the Morning. Her strong performance in that show then led to her role as the popular female lead in the Canadian smash hit comedy Letterkenny, where she portrays Katy. An integral member of the show, Katy is the focal point of the community. She unites every group and faction when the time calls for it, and frequently resolves town issues.
KANIEHTIIO HORN
Kaniehtiio Horn is a Mohawk actress, producer, and podcaster from Kahnawake, the reserve outside of Montreal. She starred opposite Anna Kendrick and Wunmi Mosaku in the Lionsgate feature, Alice Darling, which premiered to rave reviews at TIFF. Prior to that, she starred as the baddie on Season 2 of the Peacock series, Rutherford Falls, opposite Ed Helms, and appeared in the scene stealing role of Deer Lady on Reservation Dogs on FX.
Kaniehtiio starred in the Fox 21/Nat Geo series, Barkskins, created by Elwood Reid, and opposite David Thewlis. She plays the fan favourite role of Tanis in the critically acclaimed Crave/Hulu comedy series, LETTERKENNY, for which she was awarded the Canadian Screen Award for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Comedy Series”. Kaniehtiio starred in the action/thriller, Mohawk, directed by Ted Geoghegan, for which she has received incredible reviews.
Other memorable turns include significant roles on Amazon’s critically acclaimed series, Man in the High Castle, the Netflix/Gaumont series, Hemlock Grove and as “Dorothy Gale” in a memorable episode of Supernatural. She also wrote, directed and starred in the short film, The Shack, which has collected awards on the short film circuit. Kaniehtiio is a Consulting Producer on SHORESY, the spinoff of Letterkenny. She is the voice of Wynona Whitecloud in the Fox animated series, Grimsburg, starring opposite Jon Hamm.
DYLAN PLAYFAIR
Dylan Playfair is a Canadian actor known for a variety of film and television roles including Reilly in Letterkenny, Gil in Descendants 2 and Descendants 3, and Coach T in The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
Actively involved with Jr. A Hockey during his younger years, Playfair had initially planned to pursue it professionally, considering his influences were drawn from his father, Jim Playfair and his uncle, Larry Playfair (both former NHL players). Despite their mentorship Playfair decided to leave hockey to pursue a career in film and television. He credits that decision to Taylor Kitsch after watching him in Friday Night Lights.
Graduating from the Vancouver Acting School, Playfair’s growing body of work is complimented by his abilities in method acting. His first credited role was back in 2012 portraying the role of Trevor Thompson in the found footage horror film Grave Encounters 2. Following a series of smaller parts Playfair scored the recurring role of Knox in Netflix’s teen comedy series Some Assembly Required. Appearing in 56 episodes of the series Playfair received recognition for the portrayal, soon securing long running roles of Kyle in science fiction series Travelers and Owen in Netflix’s comedy series, Haters Back Off!
Though a growing portfolio has thrust the young actor in the limelight, most would recognise Playfair for his role in the TV movie, Descendants 2. The American fantasy musical focuses on the children on iconic Disney characters, with Playfair in the role of Gil, the son of Gaston. In addition to the film, Playfair is also acknowledged for his role in the Canadian sitcom, Letterkenny, a series that grew from Letterkenny Problems, a short-format web series created for YouTube in 2013 (which also starred Playfair). The series received high praise, winning Best Comedy Series at the 5th Canadian Screen Awards in 2017.
Playfair also appeared as Clayton “Clay” Turner in Netflix’s The Order and reprised his role as Gil in Descendants 3. Most recently, he appeared as Coach T in the Disney+ series, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
MELISSA McINTYRE
Melissa McIntyre is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Ashley Kerwin on Degrassi: The Next Generation. At the age of 7 Melissa’s love of music pointed her towards musical theatre where she spent any and all of her free time before making the leap to the screen.
She played a handful of smaller television roles on Real Kids, Real Adventures, Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye and a few commercials before landing the role of Ashley and making Degrassi her home for 7 seasons.
Melissa continues to sing and write music in her free time and spend an obscene amount of time at Lush.
MIKE LOBEL
Mike Lobel is a Canadian picture editor, director, actor and musician best known for his portrayal of character "Jay Hogart," a manipulative school bully on MTV's Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001) as well as character "DJ" on Family Channel sitcom Really Me (2011).
His first film role was in an adaptation of Oliver Twist, entitled Twist (2003), starring Nick Stahl. In 2009, Lobel starred in the film Suck (2009) as "Sam," the drummer of a touring rock and roll band besieged by vampires. He starred alongside rock & roll legends Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins and Iggy Pop. He also appeared on television shows like Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye (2002), The Best Years (2007), and the HBO Max series Detention Adventure (2019). He has also starred in films such as Selling Innocence (2005), Booky Makes Her Mark (2006), and Degrassi Goes Hollywood (2009).
In addition to acting, Lobel co-founded the synth-pop band Future Peers in 2014 and has toured with the group across Canada, America, and Europe. He also began working as a picture editor in 2016, which led to his involvement in the production of HBO Max's Detention Adventure as an editor and director. Mike has also been an editor and director of several music videos and documentaries. Lobel's work on Detention Adventure earned him a Canadian Screen Award nomination in 2023.
