Join us for our first Canvas Night on Sunday, October 20th! The admission is to bring something to beautify our space (which is a blank canvas). Examples: a work of art, a homemade dish, a musical piece, an excerpt of a short film, acting out a script, poetry, flower arrangement, embroidery, comic books, reading a passage from a work of literature, etc. etc. Otherwise, suggested admission is $20 which will go towards those going on pilgrimage to Rome next summer. We'd love to have you, artists! Canvas Night will take place at Newman Center Pasadena (101 S. Hill Ave. Pasadena) Doors open at 6 PM, and performance begin at 7:00 PM. Performing artists will be limited to (1) five minute set. We have a limited number of spots, so performances are available at a first come, first serve basis. We thank you in advance for understanding.
All artists agree to the following terms:
-Work must not include obscene, profane, sexual, or overly explicit content.
-Artists will maintain a respectful environment at Newman Pasadena and towards their staff, other performers, and the audience members.
-If any of the above are violated, you may be asked to leave the premise.
