In this 90 minute workshop, Kristen will guide you through songs, chants and vocal games to invigorate your spirit and share your Soul’s song with and in the presence of others. Uplifting and devotional songs are carefully curated and designed for a flow which includes:- tuning into the wisdom of your Breath
- discovering and honoring your Body as a divine instrument
- activating and strengthening your ears to improve intonation and how well you play with others
- tapping into the source of creativity and play within each of us
- harmonizing with others (whether you “know how” or not)
- using your voice to embody your prayers
- integration and an opportunity to share your experience
Come as you are. Bring water and a notebook (optional).
You’ll leave with:
- a heightened understanding of what you already know
- deeper awareness of your breath, voice & ears
- songs to sing with your friends and add to your devotional practice
Kristen excels at creating a warm and supportive container for EVERYONE. Songs are learned by Call & Response, no experience needed. Expect to feel moved as the spirit (literally, breath) flows through you; expect to feel challenged as you step out of your comfort zone and learn new skills and expect, above all, to have Fun.

Kristen Toedtman is a master singer and interpreter of song whose warmth and vitality carry through performances, recordings and ceremonies. She has performed at Carnegie Hall with the New World Symphony, Disney Hall with the LA Philharmonic and LA Master Chorale and Davies Hall with the San Francisco Symphony. Her voice and music have soothed listeners in ceremonial settings, in support of Shamans, Rabbis and Priests, as well as through recordings of her original songs. She sings on the soundtracks of many movies including Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, Minions, Big Hero 6 and Frozen. Kristen returns this fall as a teaching artist & songwriter for Street Symphony’s Women’s Voices project, spotlighting the voices of the Downtown Women’s Center in LA’s Skid Row as they write songs together. Kristen has sung in prisons and in Veterans’ shelters and specializes in creating safe spaces for singing. Her warmth and unrivaled enthusiasm for the pleasures of group singing help even the shyest singer step into the cool waters of harmony. She carries her blend of collected “Pocket Songs” with her wherever she goes: songs that are fun to learn, uplifting in spirit and infectiously catchy.
