Want to have a go at Kayak Fishing? This is the perfect opportunity to do so.We will have plenty of kayaks and volunteers on hand to give you a quick taster into the world of Kayak Fishing, by buddying you up with an experienced member of the club and taking you out within the safe walls of Port Taranaki. You might even catch a fish!
All gear will be provided. The event is also free. Please only attend if you have a serious interest in taking up kayak fishing as a hobby and joining the Taranaki Kayak Fishing Club. The event is run by volunteers hoping to gain more members and not a free excursion/babysitting service.
We will be down at ngamotu beach 9-12. Look for the big tent! We're here to answer all questions and show you why we love the sport so much. Pete from canoe and kayak can answer all your questions re purchasing a kayak in the shop later that day.
