Meet at 8.00am at the Kent Street Weir car park. The walk follows a 5km circuit along the Canning River, viewing a large selection of bush and waterbirds, hopefully with sightings of the elusive Spotless Crake. Over 110 species have been recorded in this area.
Commonly observed waterbirds include: cormorants, swamphens, ibis, pelican, egret, ducks and spoonbills.
Bring a chair and morning tea to have while the bird list is compiled.
