In this class, students will learn about the canning process by making low sugar, natural pectin Jelly and Relish. Both make excellent gifts for Christmas or anytime of the year. The instructor will also discuss dry canning and give ideas for additional gifts.The instructor for this class is Pamela Smith. Pamela is our Mercantile Manager and has her own catering company. She has been using the canning method to preserve fruits and vegetables for many years.
Fees are $75 per student plus a $10 materials fee due to the instructor the day of the class. There is a maximum of 6 students. Advanced registration is required one week prior to the date of the class unless approved by the Hagood Mill Staff and the Instructor. Students can purchase tickets online or by calling the Hagood Mill at 864.898.2936.
