Details
Come join us for a productive and scenic team walk at the Oceanside Harbor with your dog! Our Team Walks are a fantastic opportunity to expose your dog to a new environments while enhancing your handling skills in a supportive and structured group setting. We'll be walking around the harbor towards the Oceanside Harbor Fishing Pier.
Asking for a $5-$20 Donation to from attendees to support this group walk.
Walks are led by Coach Ariel, owner and trainer of Canine Coach, a dog obedience and behavioral company in North County, San Diego. Some owners and dogs joining the walks are dog training advocates in-training who are working on their own personal skills. Team Walks are open to all dogs and their owners regardless of whether you have trained with Canine Coach before as long as your adhere to theTeam Walk Guidelines.

PARKING INFORMATION
We recommend parking in the FREE parking lot (Oceanside Harbor Lot 1) at 498-100 Riverside Dr, Oceanside, CA 92054 where we will be meeting to start the walk.
MEETING PLACE
We'll be meeting at this location which is just before the walking tunnel that leads to the Harbor near Joe's Crab Shack. https://maps.app.goo.gl/9oLRPs1bRtXCwa4f6?g_st=ic Please arrive on-time or you may miss the group. We're plannong to start the walk at exactly 945AM.
UPON ARRIVAL
When you arrive, please find a spot near the others. Make sure there’s enough space for everyone, keeping at least 3 feet between each dog. Coach Ariel will start by introducing herself to the group, and then we’ll go around the circle so you can share about you if there is time before we begin.

Where: The grass strip near Helgren's Sportfishing Bait and Tackle Shop (an outdoor booth) located at 1395 N Harbor Dr, Oceanside, CA 92054
Meeting Time: 9:30AM
Walk Distance: ~ 2.2 Miles from Helgren's Sportfishing booth to the Oceanside Yacht Club and back.
Walk Duration: Approximately 1 hour 10 minutes , with 1-2 breaks for exercises and discussion.
Route Difficulty: Easy, flat
Route Type: Out and Back
Terrain: Sidewalk, crosswalks, asphalt street, grass
Environment: Outdoor, moderate-traffic, including cars, bikes, people, dogs walking with owners on leash, boats, harbor noises, sealions, sea birds, and the possibility of feral cats that live in the harbor.
THINGS TO KNOW
This walk is mostly a sidewalk pass with a few street crossings. We will pass a few street crossings and parking lots so be aware of cars. It's getting warm so be prepared with water, appropriate clothing, a hat, and hiking or running shoes. Dogs will not need boots, but will need water. Since we'll be out in a nature, there may also be foxtails, rattlesnakes, birds, birdwatchers, hikers, runners, squirrels, rabbits, lizards, and coyotes.
JOIN IN OUR TRAINING EXERCISES
We may stop to do a few exercises and practice our dog handling skills depending on the amount of dogs and time. Please have moderate-high value treats for your dog.
