About this Event

Calling all new Dog Mums and Dog Dads for the 3rd Dog Matters Talk for 2021 with Brodie Marriott & Hayley Miller and Love My Human on the 26th October from 4pm-6pm!

The objective of Dog Matters talks is to educate and inform dog owners on a range of interesting subjects related to dogs, from health, nutrition, training, behaviour, adoption, dog photography and social media to planting a dog safe garden and aromatherapy for dogs.

Brodie is a Veterinary Chiropractor who is on a mission to tell everyone about the importance of chiropractic care for dogs. She founded her company (Animals Aligned ) three years ago and has been practicing dogs in many areas of London since. Brodie also treats humans and finds it fascinating how the same treatment is just as effective on humans as it is on animals. Brodie already has a large client base all over London and has recently joined the LMH Townhouse as a therapist in residence in the hopes to be able to help many more dogs reach their full potential!

Her talk is titled "Canine Chiropractic Explained"

She will cover the following topics:

- What chiropractic is and why it is essential for you to look after the health of your own and your dog's nervous system.

- Comparing and contrasting posture in both humans and dogs and why we end up with the same imbalances.

- Debunking canine chiropractic as a luxury service and why it is important for all dogs to have.

Hayley Miller runs Paws & Restore Clinical Canine Massage. Dogs are her passion and being a canine massage therapist is what she was destined to do. With the knowledge that humans respond well to massage, Hayley’s desire was to extend her life skills and give something back to dogs. She studied canine anatomy and physiology for two years, including four specific massage disciplines with over 60 techniques including the trademarked Lenton Method in 2017.

Her talk is titled "Recognising When Your Dog May Be in Pain"

She will cover the following topics:

- 5 Principles of Pain

- Benefits of Canine Massage

- Simple tasks you can do to help prevent muscular injury

Ticket sale profits will be donated to the following charity organisations:

- El Refugio, which is a non-profit, no-K*ll animal rescue organisation, run entirely by volunteers, including its board of directors.

- Street Vet, which are volunteer vets & nurses who provide free 24/7 vet care to pets of homeless across the UK.

Further talks with other leading dog therapists and experts will also be included throughout the year.

The ticket price also includes a cream tea and ginger sandwiches for one.

There will be a maximum attendance of 20 people and a maximum of 1 dog per attendee, children are also welcome.

Love My Human will be on hand to provide any related products advice as well.

The more informed you are, the happier you and your dogs will be!
