Suggested Parking: Free street parking is available on both sides of Sanjon Road, which is one way up and one way down. The exact address for parking area is: 560 Sanjon Rd, Ventura, CA 93001(Under the freeway overpass – this may fill up quickly, so please allow time to park)
🌿 About This Event: This scenic 2.2-mile round-trip walk will begin at San Buenaventura State Beach and head down the boardwalk toward Surfer’s Point, looping back at the roundabout where bathrooms are available. The boardwalk has dividers in the center, so we will walk on the right-hand side in both directions.
The path is family-friendly, stroller-accessible, and easy to follow. Leashed dogs only. Dogs are allowed on the bike path and boardwalk, but not on the sand at San Buenaventura Beach. Surfer’s Point is technically dog-friendly, but it is currently under construction/renovation. Due to recent toxic algae reports, we recommend keeping all dogs off the sand entirely for safety.
📝 Event Guidelines:
✅ Dogs must be under control at all times
✅ No leash greetings without owner permission
✅ No nose-to-nose greetings
❌ No retractable leashes
❌ No dogs in heat
❌ No puppy sales or kennel promotions allowed
🐾 Aggressive or reactive dogs should not attend for safety
🎒 Please Bring:
• Collapsible water bowl for your dog
• Ice water for both you and your dog
• Dog treats
• Poop bags (we recommend → BeyondGreen Biodegradable Bags)
• Sunscreen
