🌿 About This Event:
Get ready for an unforgettable Cane Corso Turkey Trot un scenic San Pedro! Hosted by Michael and his Corso, Lil Capone, this walk is a kid-friendly, community-focused event designed to build connection, burn energy, and promote responsible Cane Corso ownership.
We’ll meet at the Joan Milke Flores Picnic Area, then head out for a 3-mile walk that’s mostly flat with just a light incline when we reach the dirt trail portion. This event is great for beginners and families, with beautiful coastal views and open space for our dogs to move and socialize.
The AKC Turkey Trot is a nationwide event encouraging dogs and their owners to get active and stay fit during the holiday season. As a recognized AKC Fit Dog Club, we align with this initiative by promoting health and fitness for dogs, offering structured activities like walking, running, and other exercises. Participants can register and track their activities, earning recognition for keeping their dogs in shape while celebrating the spirit of the season. It's a fun way to engage with the community and stay active, all while supporting canine fitness goals!
📝 Event Guidelines:
✅ Dogs must be under control at all times
✅ No leash greetings without owner permission
✅ No nose-to-nose greetings
❌ No retractable leashes
❌ No dogs in heat
❌ No puppy sales or kennel promotions allowed
🐾 Aggressive or reactive dogs should not attend for safety
🎒 Please Bring:
• Collapsible water bowl for your dog
• Ice water for both you and your dog
•Dog treats
• Poop bags (we recommend → BeyondGreen Biodegradable Bags)
• Sunscreen
•Towel

"My name is Lil Capone. I love going on walks/ hikes off leash with my Mom and Das. I look out the window and I know what time my Mom and Dad are supposed to be home. When I see them pull up because I know all of their cars I bark like crazy because I’m so happy they are home.
My favorite treats are dehydrated lamb lung and I eat mainly chicken for breakfast and dinner. I eat about 30 pounds of chicken per week. I do a lot of walking so I need my protein.
I love traveling to Washington to see my oldest Sister, who’s a Police Officer. And I enjoy my road trip to Colorado to see my Moms family out there it’s so fun. I also love my yearly trip to Lake Tahoe with my family it’s so beautiful there and I love swimming in the lake."
