Join us for the sacred Feast of The Presentation of the Lord, traditionally known as Candlemas, commemorating the day when the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph presented the Infant Jesus in the Temple, in obedience to the Law of the Lord.On this feast, the Church proclaims Christ as the Light of the World, foretold by Simeon as “a light for revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of Israel” (Luke 2:32).
Holy Mass will begin outside on the plaza followed by a solemn procession into the church, symbolizing Christ’s entrance into the Temple and His light dispelling the darkness.
There will also be a Blessing of Candles & Baby Jesus statues. The faithful are encouraged to bring their candles and Infant Jesus figures from their Nativity scenes to be blessed.
All are invited to participate in this beautiful and reverent liturgy as we honor Christ, our Light and our Salvation!
