This class offers a peaceful and deeply relaxing experience that combines the gentle movements of restorative yoga with the healing vibrations of sound. This class is conducted in a softly lit room with electric candles, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable & warm clothing, bring a yoga mat, and bring any additional pillows/blankets for extra support.
The class includes a series of slow and gentle yoga postures that are designed to promote relaxation and release tension from the body. These postures are supported by props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, which allow participants to comfortably hold each pose for an extended period of time.
As the restorative yoga postures are held, Stephanie will guide participants through a meditative journey using softly spoken cues while playing a variety of whimsical instruments such as crystal singing bowls to create a harmonious and soothing soundscape that promotes deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
The class will conclude with a short period of silent meditation, allowing participants to fully integrate the healing benefits of this practice. This class is suitable for all levels of yogis, including beginners. No previous experience with yoga or sound healing is necessary.
Bring your yoga mat, water bottle (free Kangan water in the fitness center), crystals, and any personal belongings you would like to clear with the vibrations of sound.
All other props provided.
Dress in layers in case it gets hot/cold!
The ground at iGi Fitness can get pretty chilly during the fall/winter so dress warm and feel free to bring an extra cozy blanket for ultimate comfort.
