The Friends of Point Beach State Forest invite you for a magical evening of candle lit recreation. The Forest and trails will be glowing with candle luminaries. The event is free, but a vehicle admission pass is required. The office will be open the day of the event from 10am-2pm & 4:30pm-7pm.Take an easy 1-mile loop hike. Be prepared for possible uneven surfaces, ice and snow. An all-terrain wheelchair is available for the event, please make a reservation in advance if you would like to use it. This hike is great for all ages and no experience is necessary.
A warming fire and hot chocolate will be available at the Nature Center. The trail starts at the northwest side of the Nature Center parking lot. Dogs are welcome for the hike, but are not allowed in buildings and must be leashed.
Tips for your hike-
Please remember to dress warm and be prepared for winter conditions. Feel free to pack a snack and water. We encourage you to purchase a vehicle pass in advance to avoid waiting in line. You may purchase a vehicle pass online, at the kiosk outside the office, or during office hours (Saturdays & Sundays 10am-2pm)
