About the Event
The Cancer Awareness Celebration is more than an event—it’s a heartfelt tribute to the
warriors, survivors, and families whose lives have been forever changed by cancer. Hosted by
DVD Global Empress, this special night will bring together music, art, and advocacy to honor
survivors and raise awareness while supporting Gilda’s Club, a leading organization providing
emotional and social support to individuals and families impacted by cancer. This initiative is a
celebration of strength, healing, and community.
About DVD Global Empress
DVD Global Empress, a Miami-based international recording artist, has inspired audiences
across the globe through her music and story of perseverance. In 2017, she faced her
greatest battle—surviving cancer. Her journey of faith, courage, and rebirth has empowered
countless others to embrace life and never give up hope. Cancer has deeply affected her
family as well: Her grandmother passed away in 2015 after battling throat and breast cancer,
her mother is a breast cancer survivor, and her grandfather lost his battle with cancer in 1991.
These experiences shaped her into not just an artist, but an advocate.
Purpose of the Event
The Cancer Awareness Celebration merges culture, community, and compassion. It will
feature live performances, survivor tributes, guest speakers, and opportunities for sponsors,
local organizations, and media to connect for a greater purpose. Objectives include
celebrating survivors, raising awareness and funds for Gilda’s Club, and continuing DVD to help give back Awareness those who have been impacted by Cancer.
