*Lots to read*
Join us for our 12th year of an annual weekend of outdoor camping, conjure, spirit reverence and celebration. Located in the Welland township of rural Niagara Peninsula.
Featuring Witchdoctor Utu, Mistress Cat, and this year’s guest for the opening nights ceremony is Eve Atoms.
The weekend starts off with the opening ceremony on Friday night with special guest Eve Atoms, as well as the conjuration of Harriet “Mama Moses” Tubman and the Spirits of the Underground Railroad; an interactive series of prayers, candle work with song and drum right in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula which was the final destination for the Freedom Seeker and home of their supporters. The rest of the weekend will feature hands on classes, workshops, main ritual Saturday night, and much more all facilitated by your favorite conjure camp Krewe.
The weather is great on the Niagara Peninsula in late August, so come enjoy a one-of-a-kind weekend of interactive teachings, ceremonies and workings with our presenters, as well as attendees from across the spectrum of spiritual practices coming together in fraternity and community.
The cost for the weekend is the crazy low price of $60.00! (e- transfer or PayPal payment can be made to [email protected]) It does not include food but there will be BBQs available as well grocery and supply stores are very near by the land (Saturday night a community BBQ will be provided for everyone featuring the camp out cooking skills of Drago Vincenzo and Goody Gail!
Your host for the weekend witchdoctor Utu, will guide the events into a natural ebb and flow as we learn from our guests and share with each other in the weekend's activities.
**Our weekend is designed to bring the attendees together as a spiritual congregation so we can experience focused hands-on spiritual workings together for the entire weekend, a build up leading to our main spiritual working and ritual.
*There are stores, places for supplies close by to the land and there will be time allotted for those that need to get supplies from town. Everything is very close by and the property is a wonderful piece of wooded land sitting on a lagoon connected to Lyons Creek where nature abounds with unique specimens of fruit and nut trees, a small marsh and dock with a wonderful view of Lyons Creek.
*Some folks do indeed attend the weekend and return to their homes at night, if you live close enough and want to do that its all good.
*There will be a fire pit central to our camp that will be our social hub and will make a small tribe out of us in no time.
*There is a clean porta john on site for use
*One can certainly come for parts of the weekend, although being there for Friday through Sunday would be best for you to be able to take it all in.
*If you have a car or van you sleep in, no problem at all, there is an area for that.
* This is a "rough it" weekend, real camping, no running water or electricity, but again close to amenities and as community and tribe we will surely take care of everyone's needs together, all part of the experience!
*What you will need for the weekend:
*Hand sanitizer!!
*Tent and sleeping gear (some folks sleep in their vans/vehicles which is totally fine)
*Clothes for both warm days and cool nights, as well clothes in case of rain
*Fold up chair
*Bug spray, lots of bug spray!
*Food and drinks/water (there are stores for supplies close by).
*Paper plates/bowls and cutlery
*Cooler for food storage
*Portable stove/BBQ if you have or want to bring one
*Tools for taking notes
*If you are the drumming type, bring a drum.
** And lastly, garbage bags, what you bring in with you must be taken out by you, so keep your garbage and recycling in bags at your site.
*There are very reasonable motels close to the land if you want to go that route as some have done in years previous.
*There's more activities, workings and a surprise or two taking place that will be privy to the attendees, shy of all that you can message Utu for more details on payment or any other questions @ https://www.facebook.com/witchdoctor.utu
**SPACE IS LIMITED***
We hope to see you there for the 12th Annual Canadian Conjure Camp!
