Canadian Beauty was gutted to learn of the closing of the Victoria Event Centre, and jumped at the chance to put on a Last Kick At The Can show before it closes. We've even dropped our ticket prices a bunch to say fare thee well to that beautiful room with as many friends as possible!
For over 25 years, Victoria's Canadian Beauty has been keeping the Dead alive with their spirited performances. Expect lots of group improvisation, folky roots-country, harmony singing and dance floor favourites. As always, there's a different setlist every show!
Canadian Beauty's first ever Grateful Dead tribute show was in 1999 at Thursday's Pub, later known as Logan's. Over the years tributes to Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Band, The Allman Brothers Band and Gram Parsons have appeared.
Canadian Beauty and all their variations endeavour to make the music they play their own. As skilled improvisors, they'd rather put their personal stamp on the songs than perform note-for-note renditions. Members of the band have performed with: Jon and Roy, Jesse Roper, Pharis and Jason Romero, Paul Pigat, Aidan Knight, The Best Guys In Town, and many more.
