About this Event
Taste and compare wines from Canada vs. wines from New York and see who comes out on top! While both regions are similar in climate, you will explore the wine characteristics that set each region apart.
About the regions:
Canada and New York are both considered Cool Continental climate regions. Continental refers to the large temperature difference between the coldest months of the year and the hottest months of the year. Cool refers to the regions having an average growing season temperature 62 degrees or below. Grape growers battle environmental impacts such as spring frosts and freezing winters, but they also benefit from a slower and extended grape ripening season which can produce higher complexity in the finished wine.
Our special guests include Bryan Kneil from Esber Beverage Co. and Martin Whitley from Cutting Edge, who will facilitate as your tasting tour guides. Plus, you will enjoy a spread of cheese, crackers, bread, grapes, and nuts to enhance your tasting experience!
