This celebration takes place rain or shine! It is free and suitable for all ages. No registration required. Most activities will take place from 10 am to 5 pm, but the site is open all day. Program:
In addition to regular access to the Estate gardens, ruins, picnic area and hiking trails, the following activities will take place:
10 am to 5 pm
🖍 Kids’ corner: colouring activities, origami, temporary tattoos and a mural
🏑 Lawn games
🚲 Hands-on history: roaming e-cargo bike with a selection of artifacts from the Mackenzie King collection you can handle
10:30 am and 11 am
🎵 25-minute pipe band performance by Sons of Scotland and highland dancers
Noon
🗣 1-hour guided tour of the Estate with the Friends of Gatineau Park’s guide-interpreters (English and French tours offered)
1 pm
🍁 Celebration with Canada Day cupcakes
2 pm

In case of very bad weather, guided tours will be cancelled, and activities will be moved indoors.
How to get here:
🚌 Shuttle: The free Gatineau Park shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the Estate. It will drop you off right at the Estate. The shuttle will be running on its usual weekday schedule.
🚗 Private vehicle: You can only access the Estate via municipal roads, as private vehicles don’t have access to the parkways on Mondays.
🚲 Hiking, cycling: You can reach the Estate via the Gatineau Park trail network or the parkways, which you can access at all times.
On July 1 only, there is free parking throughout Gatineau Park.
