A Seat at the Table: Campus Area Family-Style Thanksgiving
No one should spend Thanksgiving alone or in an environment that is not healthy for them.
This year, YeoDragon Wellness is hosting the 2nd Annual Campus Area Thanksgiving Meal—a warm, family-style gathering for those who don’t have a place to go for the holiday. Or maybe they do, but want to join us, too. Too often, students in our Mankato community find themselves far from home, without family nearby, or unable to afford the celebration. People without large families, on a limited budget, or the unhoused, too. Meanwhile, many of our families prepare abundant meals that end in leftovers no one wants to take home.
Instead of letting food and community spirit go to waste, we are coming together once again to share what Thanksgiving is truly about: connection, belonging, and love at the table.
This year’s gathering will take place at the AmericInn Mankato Event Center on Stadium Road. We’ll be setting the table for college students and others in our community. Every plate we serve is more than a meal—it’s the gift of togetherness, a reminder that they are seen, welcomed, and valued.
Everyone eats, dish to pass is optional. The YeoDragon Wellness family will have traditional dishes & our favorites. Please join us & please spread the word!
