Campout with HOWSA

*Open to all First Responders, Active Duty, Veterans and their family members*

We’re excited to host a relaxing retreat weekend for Heroes on the Water San Antonio Chapter at KL Ranch Camp on the river! Thanks to the generosity of the ranch owners and the campground employees, we’ll have the park open just for us at no cost. Even though the park will technically be closed, we’ll still have access to water, electricity, restrooms, and showers. Our group will simply be responsible for managing who comes in and out of the campgrounds.

Important information:

1. Supplies – The campgrounds will be closed, so please bring everything you’ll need. The closest gas station is 20 minutes away, and HEB is 30 minutes. We are currently working on sponsorship for a Saturday BBQ but please be prepared for the whole weekend. HOWSA will only be providing Kayaks and Entry fee. Participants will be responsible for Tent, Sleeping Bags, etc.
2. Main Event – Saturday we will Kayak Float, Fish and BBQ. If anyone doesn’t want to camp, you can still join for the float—shuttles start at 8am.
3. RVs Welcome! – We got approval for RVs at the park. If you would like to rent one, contact Amy with NB Outdoor Adventures. They are offering a 10% rental discount for HOWSA. Just mention the event when booking.Contact: Amy, NB Outdoor Adventure Phone: 210-834-9787
