About this Event
Join us for our next session with the Campfire Club storytellers as they share the best of the good, the bad, and the awkward in holiday tales up in The Balcony on Friday, December 19. The show starts at 9:30 PM, doors & Varsity Bar and Concessions will be open an hour before the show. Admission cover is just five bucks.
Showrunner and series creator Eric Kophazy is a comedian, artist, and storyteller in southern Illinois. After doing stand-up comedy for a decade, Eric took a five-year break and returned with a fresh take: what if the funniest stuff is in the details when a story or idea can breathe? Stop trying to be funny so hard to be perfect? This led to the creation of this storytelling adventure we call Campfire Club -- a show where people can share their stories – funny, messy, or both – with a focus on connection and humor instead of punchlines.
Interested in joining the storytellers in a future show? Stories are better when heard, so why not tell yours?
We welcome experienced performers and first-time storytellers. Your story can be funny, serious, or somewhere in between, as long as it's true and means something to you. Fill out the form linked below if you'd like to share your stories.
