About this Event
Join the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival committee as we take you on a guided walk along the Campaspe River as it flows through Kyneton. Come along and see what the Campaspe River and Land Management group, the North Central CMA, the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and the local community have achieved by working together!
Gorse, Blackberry and Crack Willow have been controlled; litter has been removed from the waterway and noxious weeds are being replaced with riparian indigenous vegetation including the rare Australian Anchor Plant. We will look at these influences and also investigate lateral and longitudinal connectivity of the Campaspe, we will measure its flow rate, the amount of water it discharges, and we'll even look at who/ what lives in it! You'll even have two opportunities to be a part of the rehabilitation of the Campaspe River!
