This July, your local queer, storytelling, bar church is going to CAMP! This Sunday at 5pm, we’re back on the lawn at 4250 N. Paulina (and on Zoom), roasting marshmallows, doing crafts, making friends, and, if some of your childhood camps stories play out: not pooping the whole time you’re there! (But, seriously, no worries, there are bathrooms available, please poop if you have to). This week: we’re talking FIRE. The coziness of it, how drawn we are to it, and its power to facilitate deep, meaningful, real conversation. Everyone loves a good campfire, whether it’s a bonfire on the beach, the firepit at your campsite, or the fire in your home’s fireplace, they all bring us back to a place, to a feeling that can only be found sitting around a fire.
Come on down to church for s’mores. AND DON’T FORGET: We’re also doing tie-dye! So BYO-Beveragino AND BYO-White article of clothing!
If you’re a camp kid, this is going to be right up your alley. If not..... come reclaim camp. If you want more details (like the Zoom links and the bulletin), subscribe to our weekly email: https://www.gileadchicago.org/subscribe
