Soil, phthalates, hormones and chintzy trinkets collide in a diaphanous crash, breaking into small splinters to be sucked and mouthed on, digested again and rinsed down a sink hole with leachate and spit. A choreographic fantasy for a ghillie suit, rubbish and a series of holes. Why is it that the potentially queer effects of environmental toxins are more controversial than their lethal ones? In an ecological crisis, how can we find pleasure alongside our unruly toxic progeny?
