As a crucial member of the respected original Full Cycle, V Recordings and Reprazent stables, SUV has undoubtedly contributed his fair share to Drum n Bass, and definitely to the sound of Bristol. A member of the seminal Bristol Trip-hop group FRESH FOUR in 1989 burst onto the scene with Smith n Mighty and the first ever Trip-hop track to have major success with Wishing On A Star reaching top of the UK charts. Mercury Prize winner in 1997 and MOBO Prize winner as the group name of Roni Size/Reprazent. SUV has continued to carve his musical journey as a producer, singer/song writer, and DJ, always with the intent to break new ground. SUV is well known for thinking outside of the box, never afraid to look into the past and routes seldom explored. Always enjoying influences worldwide on his travels SUV is well renowned for mixing world cultures, language and styles bringing us that much closer together. SUV has never stopped releasing DnB on his own label Play Side and is also currently releasing a link to the brand-new sound of NattyDub recordings, RampUp, JungleCakes and WolfClan just to mention a few. SUV has recently delved into the 140bpm world with his SUVSTEP project warrior charge. Along with his live FUNK shows SUV has maintained a healthy presence in the music world.
