Known for her creative brilliance, effortless mastery, and undeniably distinct approach to music, Camille Thurman has appeared at notable venues and festivals worldwide, including The Kennedy Center, The Library of Congress, the Rose Theater, Winter Jazz Fest, and The Colbert Show. She was the first woman in 30 years to tour, record, and perform full-time internationally as a saxophonist and woodwind doubler with the world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
She has five full-length recordings as a leader to her credit, was an NAACP Image Award nominee for Outstanding Jazz Album, and is a past recipient of the Fulbright Scholars Cultural Ambassador Grant and Chamber Music of America Performance Plus Grant.
Tickets to her Randolph performance are $10 for general admission and free for students and children younger than 18.
