In our current time of unprecedented illness and deep societal division, we turn to the transcending power of music. Join Camerata Singers and guest cellist José Rocha as we explore the themes of hope and healing.
The program will include:
- J.S. Bach’s awe-inspiring motet, Lobet den Herren (Sing to the Lord)
- Hyo Won Woo’s monumental Requiem Aeternam, honoring past and future victims of COVID-19
- Hymn arrangements of “Be Thou My Vision” and Lee Dengler’s “Healing River”
- “Joyful and Blest are They” from Felix Mendelssohn’s oratorio St. Paul
- “America Will Be!” by Joel Thompson, with text by Emma Lazarus and Langston Hughes
- “Hope Lingers On” by Lissa Sneckenburger, arranged by Andrea Ramsey
