Class Description
Need help getting started with video? This class will introduce you to the basics of setting up your camera and preparing to shoot video!
The presenter, Colwyn Fischbach, will cover the basics of video production, helping you to understand basic video terminology and how to best set up your camera and prepare for shooting video. He will also offer some strategies to increase the quality of your video with some common video techniques and accessories. No prior video experience is required.
Some of the topics that are covered:
- Basic camera settings for video
- Taking control of exposure for video (Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO)
- Frame rate
- Audio
- Accessories to improve your capabilities
Do I need to pre-register?
Yes, we have limited seating, so pre-registration is required. Class costs $40, and if you have purchased a camera or lens with us, you are welcome to select "Free Entry."
What do I bring to class?
- We will provide a pen and printout of the PowerPoint slides for you to take notes on. You will be able to take the PowerPoint notes home.
- If you'd like to write down any questions you have, you're welcome to bring those with you. We will do our best to get to as many as your questions as we can.
- You're also welcome to bring your camera. While this class is more lecture-style, it can be helpful to follow along with your camera, and it can sometimes be helpful to have your camera when asking questions.
