About this Event
Whether you are new to your camera, new to photography, or just looking to brush up on your skills and expand your capabilities, this course is designed to help you take your photography skills to the next level. We will help you identify key controls, design shortcuts based on your camera kit, and maximize your results based on how and what you like to shoot.
This class is broken up into two parts. A 5 hour in-person portion and a 1-2 hour (depending on class size) virtual follow-up a few days later.
Part 1:
First we’ll identify the key controls for each students specific camera, learn how to interpret the camera’s exposure evaluation tools, and understand any A.I. implementations. Then, we will practice correctly setting two major systems in photography, exposure control and focusing, based on the subject matter, lighting conditions, and your desired in-camera effects.
Part 2:
After having a few days with your camera to apply new techniques from the class, we’ll invite the group to join an open discussion follow-up via Google meet. We’ll review images from each student, and offer suggestions while reviewing some of the photographs technical metadata as well as the creative design of each person’s images.
