You've been asking for it and here it is, join us for the first ever Camdentown Tennis Club Open Mixed Double Tournament! Tournament Spots are limited — register your team by September 2 to secure your place on the court.
What to epect:
- At least three 45 minute matches (per team)
- Pairings based on skill level
- Live DJ
- Market with local goods and food vendors
- Prizes for winners
- Great vibes!
Tickets Include:
- Entry for 1 doubles team - (mixed gender teams encouraged)
- Tournament t-shirts for each player
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothes and shoes to play tennis in
- Tennis racket
- Water bottle
- A friend to spectate!

Why this tournament and why now?
The U.S. Open made history in 1973 as the first Grand Slam to offer equal prize money to men and women — a powerful statement for equity in tennis. At Camdentown Tennis Club, values like DUNN DIFFERENT and HUMAN CONNECTION, shared with The Mixtape Strategy, guide everything we do. This event honors the U.S. Open’s legacy by celebrating tennis as an equitable and accessible sport for all.
This summer also marks Camdentown Tennis Club’s 3rd anniversary, and ever since we opened, members have asked for a tournament. Hosting our first-ever mixed-doubles tournament is a meaningful way to celebrate this milestone, reflect our growth as a fully operating club, and kick off a new chapter of offering more competitive events. It also gives members a chance to volunteer and help shape the experience.
By pairing the tournament with the Camdentown Marketplace, we continue our mission to build an authentic community in North Minneapolis — expanding access to tennis in a fun, social, and inclusive environment.
