About this Event
You may have used psychedelics and want to share meaningful or challenging experiences to help you make sense of them, or you may want to hear from others or have questions to help you decide whether using psychedelics is right for you.
As part of the Cambridge Psychedelics Integration Circle, you will be helping to create an inclusive, non-judgemental, confidential space for mutual support and learning. We hope being part of the group will help you integrate your psychedelic experiences into your everyday life in a way that is meaningful and helpful to you.
We are an ‘open’ group, which means you can come as and when feels right to you, though we would ask you to book a ticket, so we know who is coming ahead of time.
The maximum number we would have at any group initially is 10 participants.
We ask that you arrive 10 minutes early, to ensure we are all ready and ‘settled’ at the time the group is due to start.
It is disruptive for people to arrive late, and arriving late may mean you cannot join the session.
We will meet for 2.5 hours once a month (the last Sunday) and work to the following format, which has offered good holding to other integration groups.
- An opening round of who we are, what brought us to the group and whether we would like time to share.
- A short relaxation.
- A short introduction to the group, safety and ground rules, agreement to confidentiality, etc.
- Time for sharing in turn. This would be for up to 10 minutes to speak without interruptions, and another 10 minutes to continue speaking or, if you like, invite questions or related sharing from other people. No interpretations will be given and someone will in a gentle way keep time. Usually there is time for 4 or so people to share, with a short comfort break in the middle.
- A brief closing round to check in with everyone before we finish.
- You may like to bring an object that is meaningful to you – perhaps something that represents your hopes or fears for the group, or a psychedelic experience you want to share. We will place our objects in the middle of the circle in our opening round.
We will book the room for 3 hours, so the facilitators can be around for another 30 minutes in case anyone wants to have a private word.
