*Venue information*
The venue is accessible from the street without any steps and once you’re inside, everything is on the same level (room where the bands will play, pub, toilets). A small area in the pub part of the venue is accessed by a step. The gig room is wheelchair accessible but unfortunately the toilets are not - there are no accessible toilets (i.e. toilets with grab bars or an alarm). Please speak to The Blue Moon to discuss any specific accessibility queries you may have.
The Blue Moon is only a 20 minute walk from Cambridge train station. We intend to finish the live music early enough for people to catch the last train to Royston and Kings Cross (although it's your responsibility to keep an eye on the time!).
Please don’t park in the Blue Moon car park - we have very limited space and need it for the bands - there’s street parking in the evening and public car parks on East Road and Gwydir Street.
*Eating and drinking*
We have lots of yummy food and drink options and will have an extended break for tea/dinner so you can grab something to eat before mumbles.
The Blue Moon has a fantastic pizza restaurant in house – Oscar’s Lockdown Pizza! The menu has meat, veggie and vegan options. You can order with a QR code or from their website (https://www.oscarspizzas.co.uk/) – it’s super easy but please bear in mind that it’ll be quite busy so get those orders in early!
There are a few other restaurants and takeaways on Norfolk Street and East Road if you fancy a short wander. Burleigh Street also has quite a few options (chip shop, noodles & more!) if you’re happy to walk a minute or two further.
The Mill Road area (5/10 minute walk away) has a huge number of international restaurants and some pubs. The Cambridge Blue and Calverley's Brewery are a couple of fantastic nearby pubs. Hot Numbers Coffee is a really nice coffee shop that's also a reasonably short walk away.
The Blue Moon is a bit of a boozy paradise with 100+ different gins and all your favourite craft beers from UK and international brewers. There are lots of non-alcoholic options too so you’ll have plenty to choose from.
*Access and inclusivity*
We want the Cambridge Indiepop Alldayer to be a friendly and inclusive space where everybody feels comfortable. We’d like to make it clear that we regard intimidating behaviour and discrimination of any kind (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism etc) as unacceptable. If you experience any issues, please do come and talk to one of the organisers or bar staff so we can try to resolve them as soon as possible.

All toilets in the venue will be gender neutral on the day (all genders will be able to use any of the toilets) and there will be signs up making this clear. Please respect this and let everybody use the toilets without being challenged.
*Cash machine*
The nearest free to use cash machine is inside Tesco on East Road, a five-minute walk away. You can also find a cash machine at Sainsburys on Mill Road. The Blue Moon takes contactless and card payments.
*Random safety point!*
If you're staying locally and are using Google Maps to get home, it may try and take you through a graveyard on the way home (between the Blue Moon and Mill Road/Parker’s Piece area). While Cambridge is a pretty safe city, wandering through graveyards at night is probably not advisable - check the route before you follow it!
*Taxis*
Panther are the main Cambridge taxi firm and the one we usually use. Their number is 01223 715715. They’ll text when your taxi is on its way and again when it arrives at the Blue Moon so you don’t need to stand outside in the cold waiting! They also have an app. Uber also services Cambridge.
If e-scooters are your thing, you can hire them through Voi (https://www.voi.com/) in Cambridge and there is a pick up/drop off point quite close to the Blue Moon on East Road.
Just drop us a message if you have any further questions ([email protected])!
