VOICES ACROSS TWO AGES (2024, 60 min) is a compelling KMF documentary in which three young Cambodian students talk to three elderly victims of the Khmer Rouge. Their discussions include youthful disbelief at the extent of KR atrocities and the suffering caused; possibilities of forgiveness; purpose of the Khmer Rouge trials; future of Cambodia.Also screening: PIECES OF GLASS is the first film made by Sreileak Prum, now a full-time director at KMF (Khmer Mekong Films). Sreileak, writer and director of this short movie, was one of four young filmmakers chosen from dozens of Cambodian hopefuls who entered their ideas for the ‘Legacy Film Lab’, a British Embassy-KMF project. The LFL offered Cambodia’s youth the chance to express their feelings about the legacy of Khmer Rouge on their country.
