Calls of Devotion: A Concert for the HeartSaturday 14th February
Shambala
7:30–9:00 pm
Following John Walklate’s highly acclaimed concert at Shambala in October 2025, Calls of Devotion returns by popular demand for a special Valentine’s Day gathering.
Calls of Devotion is an intimate live concert. A night of music devoted to the deeper love that runs beneath all experience, beyond ideas, roles or the versions of love we have been taught to seek.
The evening unfolds through a combination of mantra, zikr, original songs inspired by the path of divine longing and improvised, Eastern-tinged soundscapes of voice and guitar, alongside spontaneous spoken reflection. John’s music is unscripted and responsive, shaped in the moment rather than performed to a fixed structure.
This is neither a conventional music gig, nor a workshop nor a traditional kirtan or zikr gathering. It is a merging of worlds.
A concert for the heart.
Whether you come alone or with another, you are welcome.
