About this Event
We are thrilled to invite you for an exciting day of art, creativity, and community at the Urban Sketchers & Painters Event to showcase your talent and be part of a juried exhibition at The Elliott Museum!
This unique event offers an exciting opportunity to create in and around the multi-faceted exhibits of the Elliott Museum, engage with visitors as they watch you work live, and showcase your freshly painted and sketched artworks. The event culminates in the Collectors Celebration, where you can mix, mingle, and sell your creations—all exhibited at the Elliott Museum.
EVENT SCHEDULE
Date: April 12, 2025
Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: The Elliott Museum
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Set up and prepare to paint
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Create your masterpiece in any medium
- 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM | Judging, Reception, and Exhibition
- 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM | Awards and Prizes
ADMISSION TO THE MUSEUM:
- Artists & Museum Members: FREE
- Guests: Admission $20 General, $18 Senior 65+, $10 Youth 6-12
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Download and send PDF Contract and pay the participation fee by April 4, 2025
STEP 1:
Download, review, and complete PDF Artist Consignment Agreement -
STEP 2:
Submit your $20 Registration Fee (non-refundable) using the artist name that you used for the Artist Consignment Agreement.
Participation includes eligibility to paint and enter the juried exhibition at The Elliott Museum.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
Restrooms, water stations and drop cloths will be available.
Do not use Museum bathrooms to clean art supplies.
LUNCH: Available at the on-site restaurant
JURIED EXHIBITION AT THE ELLIOTT MUSEUM
All artwork created at the event will be eligible for entry in the Urban Sketchers & Painters Juried Exhibition at The Elliott Museum. This exclusive showcase provides unparalleled exposure and celebrates the artistry and spirit of our creative community.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Winners will be recognized with cash prizes, certificates, and ribbons:
- First Prize – $300 Cash Award, Certificate, & Ribbon
- Second Prize – $200 Cash Award, Certificate, & Ribbon
- Third Prize – $100 Cash Award, Certificate, & Ribbon
- Honorable Mentions – Certificate & Ribbon

ONLINE ARTWORK SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Each participating artist may submit one artwork with the following details:
- Artist’s name & contact information
- Title, size, description, & medium
- Sales price
SALES AGREEMENT
Artists receive 60% of all sales proceeds, HSMC receive 20%, and Art Moves You receive 20%.
All artwork, whether sold or unsold, must remain on display at The Elliott Museum for the full exhibition period through May 12, 2025, ensuring a complete visitor experience.
