About this Event
Come and learn how to do Italic writing for Christmas cards, tags , poems or just for pleasure. Examples of Christmas calligraphy will be shown to the students. Simplified strokes will be practiced to establish the basic letterforms. Practicing letters in groups; zig zags, loops ,arches. Attention will be paid to students sitting position, pen angle etc. Roman capitals will be explained to go with the lower case letters used. Demonstrations will be given to the group as a whole throughout and to individual students.
Please note this course is for adults only - we cannot accept children on our learning programmes.
Times and Attendance
This course is on 2 December from 10am - 1pm.
You will be required to complete an Urban Learning Academy Registration Form at the start of the session
Commitment: we ask that learners try to commit to attending this course as we only have limited spaces. We run a wait list on Eventbrite. Please cancel your ticket, or contact us, if you are no longer able to attend the course so we can offer your place to somebody else.
Tickets: When booking tickets, please book one ticket per person and provide a name for each ticket. We are unable to accept bookings without a name or multiple bookings under one name.
