Welcome to the first event from Callahan Media! We will be popping off the Rumpus Weekend at Flicker Theatre & Bar with a Halloween Themed Onslaught from some up and comers, and Athens LEGENDS! This is going to be one of those events where you show up, and then ride the magic carpet until you don't even know which continent you're on!
Masterfully curated by an Athens legend Lex Callahan, this event is sure to get everyone in the room up on their feet and singing along!
Opening up the bill, we have one of Athens' newest bands, "Morro"!
Morro is a power rock trio from Athens, GA, formed by guitarist Michael Miller, joined by bassist Adam Granade and drummer Chris Taunton. Michael is a composer, scientist, and proud owner of a German Shepherd, who is rumored to be the band's namesake. Adam is a chef, musician, and artist, who specializes in creating visions with bass, nori, and knife. Chris Taunton is a master of old and new, a mechanic of machine and drums, and an artist of uncompromising value. Together, the three create a dynamic and powerful sound that blends classic rock with a modern edge, a testament to their diverse talents and shared passion.
Going second is "System Of A Brown" (comprised of members of Rosie & The Ratdogs)!
If you ever wanted to see System Of A Down in a live setting, then you won't want to miss these guys! In the spirit of Halloween, this group of guys are destined to bring the Armenian Edge to your Hallow's Eve that you've been waiting for!
And then our Unholy Headliners will be the mysterious new band know simply as "Band Of Moons."
Band of Moons is an up an coming collective led by the show's organizer Lex Callahan. This supergroup will be sure to bring a high level of cleanliness and spookyness to your Rumpus Weekend. Rumor has it, that they'll be covering a bunch of tunes that will make you scream your lungs out, and they will be ending their set with an Ozzy Tribute! Hail the Bloody Sabbath!
