Beginning Thursday, December 5th, Gallery VOX proudly presents 5x5: Loud & Clear, an exhibition organized by independent curator Paul Barrett to benefit AIDS Alabama. 5x5: Loud & Clear features small works submitted through an open call to artists. We invite artists to submit small works that will all retail for $150. Artists will receive 50% of the sale of their work and Gallery VOX will donate 25% of all sales from this exhibition to AIDS Alabama.
We ask artists to deliver their work to Gallery VOX by Friday, November 15 so everything can be professionally photographed ahead of the opening reception at Gallery VOX on Thursday, December 5. Since 1986, AIDS Alabama has provided HIV prevention education to the healthcare community. Directly managing over 100 units of affordable housing across the state, we are dedicated to helping residents stay healthy. IS THIS AN ART AUCTION?
No. All the small artworks in the show will be first-come, first-served at $150 each.
DOES MY WORK NEED TO FOLLOW A THEME OR SUBJECT?
No. Your work should be ready to hang or otherwise properly prepared for exhibition. Any sculpture shall be accompanied by bases or stands unless it can stand on a shelf or pedestal without one. Be creative!
CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I DON'T LIVE IN ALABAMA?
Absolutely! We only ask that you make sure your work arrives by November 1 so we have time to photograph everything.
ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DONATE MY ART?
No. Gallery VOX is generously donating half of their share of sales to AIDS Alabama. We're asking you to bring work for sale and join us for a fantastic party on Thursday, December 5.
