The Country Lawyer Gallery of the Arts announces a Call for Art for the January 24, 2025 exhibit called "January 1st Through My Window." the exhibit runs from 1/24-2/15. There will be a soft opening on the 24th and a Meet the Artists Reception on1/25 from 1-5 PMThe idea is to make an image of what you see our your own window on January 1, 2025. We are looking for different mediums, sizes, styles and interpretations. For interest, y0u0o might make a photo of what you see, use the photo as a reference image for a painting. Or, maybe, do an oil pastel right on the spot! The only "rules" are that ithe subject will be what you.see out your window, wherever you are , on January 1st, 2025 and you can finish it later by painting, sketching, photographing, whatever. Please be creative, resourceful and artistic!
This show is designed for both accomplished artists and anyone with a desire to join in. The exhibit is not juried, there's no entrance fee and no commission - but we do hope you can give us a donation if you sell any art. It is the only way we can remain relevant.
Here is the timeline for the exhibit:
- Make your initial image on January 1, 2025
- Drop Off of final work at the gallery is 1/18 to 1/20, 2025
- The exhibit runs 1/24-2/15
- Pick Up is 2/16-2/17 - please contact us for a specific time
- Please plan to take any packing material with you at drop off as we have very limited storage space. Bring your own packing back to the gallery at pick up
This will be a really fun show in which to participate. We hope to see lots of art so get ready, get set, and wait for January 1st!
