About this Event
The American Youth Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that seeks to improve the lives of youth through policy and discourse. This forum will bring together the leaders shaping the future of education in California and create transparency regarding their goals in office. Student moderators will inquire about the following:
1. Key priorities in office
2. An evaluation of the current state of education in the state
3. Navigating the Trump Administration
4. Closing the racial and achievement gap
5. Addressing the literacy crisis
The forum will conclude with an open session and students will have the ability to ask their own questions to the candidates in the race. The event will be livestreamed by ABC7 and Kron4.
Why should you come?
Networking – this is an opportunity to make an appearance in the news and connect with like-minded peers as well as the candidates themselves.
Potential to work for the campaigns of the candidates – many candidates are looking for youth to assist their campaigns efforts, and this is a great way to start a relationship with the campaign you'd like to help with.
