The annual CAMS Conference is an opportunity for commercial district revitalization leaders to explore Main Street Approach best practices, identify key trends, and discover new economic development strategies for their cities and towns. This three-day educational event includes workshops, networking and curated experiences designed for Main Street directors, downtown managers, board members, key volunteers, city liaisons and partner organizations to connect.
This year's conference destination is Downtown San Luis Obispo (SLO). Nestled in the rolling hills of California’s central coast, SLO’s bustling downtown features tree-lined streets, turn-of-the-century Spanish architecture, and vibrant public art. Storefronts on Higuera Street are alive with indie boutiques, local coffee shops, and a vibrant food scene. Explore the city’s historic Mission, quirky Bubblegum Alley, and award-winning Thursday night Farmers’ Market, SLO is a Great America Main Street Winner (1999) and one of the initial Main Street programs to launch in California (1986).
The CAMS 2025 Conference is hosted by California Main Street, Downtown SLO, Visit San Luis Obispo and made possible by sponsorships from Main Street America, Square, California Office of Historic Preservation, Visit California, National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Civitas Advisors with support from Small Business Majority and Switchfoot Creative.
Sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are available.
Registration rates increase on September 15.
We look forward to welcoming you to San Luis Obispo to experience the magic and history of the central coast.
