About this Event
Well it is that time again family. We are coming out of COVID-19 restrictions and the Atlanta family is eager to host our traditional family reunion. First, thank you for allowing the Reunion Committee to monitor activities related to COVID-19. Our top priority is to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our loved ones to gather and given the declining numbers of COVID cases, we feel comfortable that we can hold a reunion this summer. The theme for the 50th-Year reunion is Reconnecting, Reflecting and Rebuilding Our Family and the reunion dates are set for July 29 - 31, 2022. The reunion will take place at the J.W. Marriott Hotel Buckhead in Atlanta, GA.
HOTEL INFORMATION:
The J.W. Marriott is accepting hotel reservation for the family. Please access the room block at the website below. Please note, room reservations will be available as early as July 26th and as late as August 2, 2022, at the negotiated rate.
The J.W. Marriott Buckhead (Atlanta, GA), is a newly renovated hotel that is connected to Lenox Square, a premier shopping center in Atlanta. The hotel is located directly across the street from the MARTA (Subway) Lenox Station. You can take MARTA from the Airport directly to the hotel.
The JW Marriott has rental car services available at the hotel if you want to rent a car onsite. Parking at the hotel is available at a rate of $26.00 per night for self parking and $45.00 per night for valet parking, and you are allowed in and out privileges.

Hotel Check-In is usually at 3:00 p.m., but the hotel may have rooms available sooner. Please check with the Front Desk staff upon your arrival to see if rooms are available before 3:00 p.m.
DUES/ T-SHIRTS:
The reunion dues are provided below to offer as much flexibility to our programmed events as possible:
Adults (11 years old and up) $175.00 plus applicable surcharges and taxes
Youth (3 years old to 10 years old) $85.00 plus applicable surcharges and taxes
Youth (new born to 2 years old) No charge
All dues must be paid through Eventbrite. No alternative payment methods will be accepted, including checks. Once you make your payment for dues, you will be provided a ticket and receipt that can be printed or accessed electronically to attend the reunion events. The Family Reunion Committee will have copies of paid tickets if you lose or misplace your ticket. Tickets will be required for entrance into the events. If you are uncomfortable providing your credit/debit card information to Eventbrite, you can pay your dues with a pre-paid Visa, MC or AX which are available at most grocery, Ph*rm*cy or major retail stores such as Wal-Mart or Target.
No refunds will be offered after June 29, 2022, to ensure that payment is submitted in advance to the hotel. Eventbrite Fees are non-refundable.

Youth and Adults (S - XL) $12.00
Adults (XXL and XXXL) $15.00
Shirts are fitted at normal sizes.
Please place your orders for T-Shirts no later than June 30, 2022. Indicate the size of your t-shirt on the order form.
FAMILY REUNION ACTIVITIES:

On Friday, July 29th between 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. you may stop by the Concierge Desk to pick up your 50th Family Reunion Bag. Otherwise, your bag will be provided at the Official Welcome Reception at 7:00 p.m.
50th Family Reunion Welcome Pre-Reception 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Buckhead Club 3344 Peachtree Rd NE Suite 2600, Atlanta, GA 30326
This is a professional business and social club, so no shorts, tank tops, tennis shoes, or t-shirts are allowed. The Club is a16 min. walk through the mall or 4 min. driving /Uber/Lyft ride from hotel.) Take in views atop one of the tallest buildings in the area. No charge for admittance and light hor d'oeuvres will be provided. This is a cashless establishment. All checks must be settled with credit/debit cards.
50th Family Reunion Official Welcome Reception 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Calhoun Myers Coffee Hospitality Suite (Room Number - TBA)
Join the family for the official kickoff of the 50th Family Reunion. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Calhoun Myers Coffee Youth Sleepover 9:15 p.m. until Saturday morning Hospitality Suite
Bring all youth from ages 2 to 17 to the hospitality suite for a night of fun, games and recreation. Remember to check in your child, provide them with a pillow and sheet and pick them back up on Saturday morning by 9:00 a.m. There will be activities for youth and young adults of all ages.

Join the family for coffee, tea, and light breakfast, before you hit the treadmill, fitness equipment or swimming pool.
Family Free Time 11:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Take in the sights of Atlanta with a tour of the City-stroll through Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza, spend some time embracing Black History at the King Center, Historic Ebenezer Church or the Atlanta University Center or have family fun time at Six Flags Over Georgia. 50th Anniversary Family Reunion Banquet 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Ballroom
Join the family as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Be prepared to be entertained. We will also recognize our family scholars, all previous Reunion Committee hosts, and pass the ceremonial Reunion Torch to the younger family members. Don't forget to send the Committee the names of any graduating students from 2020 - 2022 (K- 12) and college. Provide a picture and name of parents.

Family Brunch and Fellowship 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ballroom
As we close out the celebration, we will offer praise and fellowship service, hold a special tribute to our ancestors and select the next reunion city, before we bid each other farewell and safe travels.
TRANSPORTATION:
The closest airport is Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. All major airlines operate in and out of Hartsfield. The hotel is located directly across the street from the MARTA (Subway) Lenox Station.
