The winner of this slam will go on to represent Calgary at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slamโthe national slam competition held yearly in Vancouver in April! The winner will also receive $650 towards travel costs.
Competitors are selected based on year round scoring stats, so come out to see the best Calgary has to offer and watch them duke it out for the title of Calgarys official slam representative!

We will keep 4 non-competitive open mic slots open for this slam, so even if you arenโt competing, you might have a chance to get on stage!
