About this Event
The PLANTS project (Plant Listing at The National Trust for Scotland) is a three-year project to inventory the National Trust for Scotland’s plant collections across its major gardens and designed landscapes. This project is providing up to date records for use in managing, protecting and promoting its plant collections and has uncovered some fascinating surprises about the plants in the Trust’s care.
Dr Anna Florence originally trained in plant science at Edinburgh University before completing a PhD at SRUC/Edinburgh University studying photosynthetic efficiency in spring barley. After working as a researcher and lecturer in crop science and remote sensing at SRUC she moved to work as the Curator of Plant Collections at the National Trust for Scotland.
