Get ready for a night filled with the excitement of pop culture, cosplay, anime, and K-pop as Calera Main Street hosts the inaugural Calera Nerd Fest on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Unlike a traditional convention, this festival-style event will immerse fans in a lively celebration of fandom, bringing together anime enthusiasts, K-pop lovers, and creatives for an unforgettable evening of music, art, and fun. With a dance party headlined by DJ Nadya, dance and costume competitions with prizes, and a wide array of independent artists and vendors, Calera Nerd Fest will be a must-attend event for fans and creators alike.Vendor opportunities are available through November 4, offering a fantastic platform for independent artists and other vendors to showcase their original work. Artists will be featured inside various Main Street shops, with the Vendor Hall located inside Collectivus Event Center. Vendor fees are $50 for artists and $100 for general merchandise vendors. Each vendor registration includes two event tickets. Vendors are responsible for remitting sales tax, and only original artwork will be permitted for sale, ensuring an authentic experience for attendees.
Attendees can choose from three ticket levels:
• $15 Entry only
• $25 Entry + sandwich and drink
• $40 Entry + sandwich and drink + festival T-shirt
Early bird registration is available for the base ticket at just $12 until October 7, 2024. Pre-registration is encouraged, as rates will increase for on-site ticket purchases the night of the event.
Calera Nerd Fest is designed to be an immersive experience for all. Whether you’re participating in the dance competition, browsing vendor booths, or enjoying the entertainment, this event promises to be a fantastic celebration of creativity and community.
Additional event highlights include a 360-degree photo spot for memorable snapshots, exclusive event T-shirts, and a shuttle service to a nearby hotel, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests. A limited number of hotel rooms may be reserved for attendees who wish to stay overnight and continue the fun.
Nerd Fest 2024 T-shirts will feature original artwork by local Calera artist Geoffrey Gwin. Guests can stop by his artist booth during the event for a signature.
