Herbal Tea Workshop
Naomi brings her knowledge of herbal medicine and love of growing her own herbs to make teas for different healing purposes.
Together we will learn about optimal times to gather different herbs, and how to dry herbs. We will learn about a few select herbs and their healing qualities and create a few blends from herbs that have already been dried.
Tea blends will include - sleepy tea, soothing tea, cleansing tea.
Each person will take home a print out of information, some seedlings and a selection of tea blends that they have created themselves.
Tea/Lunch break
We will share some pots of the tea blends that we created and a light lunch will be provided.
Calendula Balm Workshop
Jamie has always had a deep respect and belief in the restorative powers nature possesses.
Life changes and challenges led Jamie to explore a simpler and slower way of life, embracing and exploring the miraculous healing power of plants.
In recent years she has experimented with making herbal remedies, teas and balms from a mixture of homegrown ingredients and other organic and ethically sourced materials.
This workshop is an introduction to creating your own infused oils and using these to make simple skin balms and salves.
You will learn how to create your own calendula balm, from growing and drying your flowers all the way through to making and storing your balm for use or to be given as a beautiful homemade gift.
This workshop will provide you with some calendula seedlings and a small calendula balm to take home.
Calendula Officinalis is endemic to the Mediterranean, however it is widely cultivated globally for its culinary and medicinal uses. Calendula is widely recognised to have a soothing effect on skin conditions like eczema and sunburn. It is also a wonderful companion plant in the vegetable garden to deter pests and even to just add beautiful colour to your outdoor space.
