Join us in-person for an engaging event where you'll get tips, tools, and strategies to build your financial confidence and make those important decisions with ease. Whether you’re just starting out or getting closer to buying, let’s get calculated and move forward together!

At this event you will have access to a panel of knowledgeable professionals to answer your questions about how to get yourself ready for home ownership, break down confusion around financial management, and learn from a local mortgage lender what exactly you need to be ready to place an offer on your first home.

Our professional panel consists of a financial advisor from Edward Jones, Ashley O'Neal and Trevor Higley with DC Real Estate, and a mortgage officer from Treadstone Mortgage. Each professional is passionate about making financial health and home ownership accessible to anyone no matter their current situation.

Light snacks, nibbles, and refreshments will be provided from Good Judy's Juice Bar, a local LGBTQ owned market.

Info: We get it, life happens. The first 15-30 minutes will be our buffer time to allow everyone to arrive safely.

Info: Once everyone is settled, we will jump into the good stuff! Kicking us off will be Trevor & Ashley to talk real estate. They will outline the steps to take to prepare yourself to stop scrolling Zillow, and instead, get yourself ready to setup showings to land your new home. Next up will be Christine Church with Edward Jones to talk all things financial wellness. Christine will outline topics that include understanding your current financial baseline, how to prepare your finances 6-12 months before buying, saving strategies for down payments, and more. To finish, we will hear from a mortgage officer from local mortgage broker Treadstone Mortgage. This will include what the process of getting pre-approved looks like, what paperwork/documentation is required, and how to prepare yourself to make the mortgage process as stress free as possible.
