Cake Club

On November 8, 2025, Buffalo’s second Cake Club will bring together local cake enthusiasts for an evening of homemade VINTAGE-themed cakes and community at from 5–7 p.m.

The concept is simple: The only cost of entry is a vintage-themed scratch-made cake. The VINATGE aspect of the cake entry can be the recipe, decoration, or both! Participants will trade slices, meet fellow bakers, and enjoy their sweet haul at the venue (or take it home)! A cash bar will offer a selection of cocktails and mocktails.

Cake Club is an extension of Bon Appetit Buffalo’s monthly cookbook club and a celebration of baking in good company. This free, community event is made possible by , (food editor at Buffalo Spree), and their partners at Wayland.

We hope you will use this event as a creative outlet to try something new, meet new people, or challenge yourself!

Meeting new people can be intimidating, but these events are meant to bring together like-minded people who want to make new connections. Cake Club is a fun and safe space for everyone!

Cake Club is essentially a potluck that supports community and sharing in the City of Good Neighbors. Let’s keep it sweet by being considerate of one another and ensuring that everyone feels welcome.

How It Works

Please read this entire section very thoroughly.

COST: The only entry fee for Cake Club is a cake you baked.

Every cake counts! No matter how skilled a baker you are, you’re a welcome member of Cake Club. Savory or sweet, layer or sheet, vegan or bacon-smothered, cakes of all shapes and sizes are embraced. Upon arrival, participants will submit their cake.

PLEASE NOTE: No one is allowed admittance without a cake, so no plus ones, please. This is very intentional, and no exceptions will be made.

REGISTRATION: Tickets to Cake Club cannot be purchased. Pre-registration and a made-from-scratch cake are required for entry.

DETAILS: No outside food or drink is permitted (except your entry cake). Cake Club is a 21+ event. Tickets cannot be purchased. Registration and a made-from-scratch cake are required for entry.

PARKING:

On-site Lot: There is a free parking lot directly available at Wayland Brewing.

Street Parking: Free street parking is also available in the surrounding areas.

Overflow Lot: When the main lot is full, a secondary overflow lot is available. It is accessible by turning onto Webster Street across from the Brewery's main entrance. See the overflow lot photo below.
