Caged Thunder MMA Returning to Akron Main Event to Feature #2 Ranked Pro Heavyweight in Ohio to Batting #2 Ranked Pro Heavyweight From Georgia
Akron, OH - Hot off the heels of taking over Jerzees in Belden Village during Hall of Fame weekend with an event that had the area buzzing, Northeast Ohio’s established standard of excellence in combat sports entertainment returns to Chapparell’s in Akron, OH for Caged Thunder 34. A blockbuster Main Event has already been signed that will feature two of the best Professional Heavyweight prospects in the country facing off, in addition to another loaded fight card that fans have come to expect when experiencing Caged Thunder live.
The Main Event will see the juggernaut that is Austin “The Bodyguard” Green (5-1) representing E-town Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing & Derby City Mixed Martial Arts collide with former CT Amateur Heavyweight Champion RJ "The Hammer" Harris (2-0) representing Sprawlin & Brawlin MMA in the CT Professional Heavyweight Division.
Not only is he Georgia’s #2 ranked Pro Heavyweight; but Green is also a professional bodyguard who has served for several well known A-Listers & a professional wrestler who has competed for All Elite Wrestling. With finishes in 4 of his 5 pro bouts and his only loss coming via Split Decision, Green is coming to Caged Thunder 34 looking for the biggest fight possible.
Answering that call will be the former CT Amateur Heavyweight Champion RJ “The Hammer” Harris of Zanesville, who is riding a wave of momentum coming off of his victory over fellow rising Pro Heavyweight prospect Charlie “The Reaper” Cleveland at the recent Caged Thunder 32 at the Canton Civic Center. Harris has back-to-back submission wins as a pro and 7 finishes in his career overall, with 5 of those finishes coming in the first round! The Hammer enters this mammoth showdown sporting an undefeated record in Caged Thunder competition, which has propelled him to the #2 Pro Heavyweight ranking in Ohio
Additional bouts signed include Seattle's Cameron Williamson (4-3) against former CT Amateur Welterweight Champion Brogan Endres (5-5) in the CT Professional Welterweight Division, Caged Thunder PPV color commentator & former Amateur Bantamweight Title Contender Brandon Billiter of Canton returning to action against #4 ranked CT Amateur Lightweight Matt “Downtown” Brown (3-1) of Green in the CT Amateur Featherweight Division, #5 ranked Billy “The DeathTrain” Flynn (3-0) taking on fellow undefeated fighter Marlon “King Marweezy” Ridley (3-0) from Toledo in the CT Amateur Light Heavyweight Division, a rematch of two of the most experienced amateurs in the region with a combined 24 fights when Malcolm “Hitman” Jackson of Canton takes on #5 ranked Matt Dugan in the CT Amateur Featherweight Division; plus much more!
